#Speakupagainst is a specialist helpline offering support for victims of interpersonal violence, which is rape, stalking, female genital mutilation, harassment, historic abuse, forced marriage, honour based violence and sex trafficking. 

This helpline is provided by Northamptonshire Rape Crisis on behalf of Voice and the Northamptonshire Police and Crime Commission, this helpline is available for all victims, whether they have been in contact with the police or not, no matter when the incident took place or whether male or female. 

Rape 

Sex without consent is rape. Just because someone has been drinking or may have already engaged in some level of intimacy with you, if they don't actively consent to sex, it's rape.

Historic Abuse 

Abuse has a huge impact on victims, some of who don’t feel able to access help at the time an incident takes place. We are here to offer support and advice to survivors of abuse whether they were abused last year or 30 years ago.

Stalking 

The experience of being stalked can destroy the lives; support is available for anyone who wants help. That support includes victims who have been stalked online.

Female Genital Mutilation 

FGM is an unacceptable form of abuse and is illegal in the UK. It is also illegal to take a British national or permanent resident abroad for FGM or to help someone trying to do this.

Harassment 

Harassment can take many forms and can have a significant impact on victims, many of who are too scared to ask for help. If you are being harassed and want to talk to someone for some advice, guidance or support. You can call for advice and support. 

Forced Marriage 

Forced marriage is a marriage conducted without the valid consent of one or both parties, where duress is a factor. Duress can include physical, psychological, sexual and emotional pressure. It can happen between people in this country or between someone from this country and someone abroad.

Honour Based Violence 

Honour-based violence is a crime or incident which has or may have been committed to protect or defend the honour of the family and/ or the community. It is unacceptable in our communities and we want victims to feel confident in coming forward and seeking support and advice.

Sex Trafficking 

Human trafficking is an abuse of basic rights, with organised criminals preying on vulnerable people to make money. In most cases, victims are brought to the UK from abroad, and in some cases victims are forced into the sex trade.
